Dermal Fillers                                                             Important

Dermal fillers are bioengineered products that are used to add volume, soften and contour lines, folds, and wrinkles. There are over 70 marketed in Europe and new ones regularly come to the market. Fillers are made from Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen  and other synthetic materials.  They are injected into the skin, according to the required depth and thickness. e.g. thin are used to treat frown lines.

Filler are either absorbed and ultimately broken down by the body (non permanent) e.g. Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen, or longer lasting (semi permanent and permanent) options like Poly-L_lactic Acid and Liquid Silicone.  Non of the current treatments are lasting, although the results vary from case to case, due to the fact that individuals physically change over time. Each person's physical characteristics/condition is different, but generally speaking,  the results typically last 6-12 months.

It is important to have realistic expectations prior to going in for your treatments and to speak frankly with a cosmetic dermatologist about your expectations and desires.
